Immersive Spectacles: Exploring French Cultural Landscapes of Installation Art
My senior capstone examined the evolution of immersive art and its “spectacularization,” focusing on French case studies from Gothic architecture to contemporary installations. As a double major in Art History and French and Francophone Studies, I wrote a third of the thesis in French. The project earned honors recognition and was later featured on the College of Wooster’s website here.
At the end of the year, all seniors have the chance to participate in the IS symposium and share their work with the rest of the campus community. As a part of the demonstration, I also included a VR component as a way to bring an element of immersive art to the experience.
